Gotta Keep Your Head Up

I'm always looking for a new song to rock out to, or in this case, bob my head to.

I stumbled across Andy Grammer like any good 21st century person, through a friend's posting on Facebook.

He only has this song released currently. and right now, you can make your own interactive video of the song on his website.  It's pretty fun.

To be honest, I've gone through it a few times trying out different options.  It kind of reminds me of those choose your adventure books I read as kids.  Know what I'm talking about?

Anyways, here's one of the versions I came up with:

Ten on Tuesday: Let's talk about food.

First of all, I wrote this last night pre-101 degree temperature and bouts of vomiting.  (Probably TMI...sorry!)

So that whole working 10 straight hours thing didn't happen.  I feel bad because we are stretched so thin at work right now, but there was no way I would be able to function.

I was actually going to try to go until a sip of water sent me back to bathroom.  Ugh.

On that lovely note, on a day when saltines and 7-Up are an accomplishment, here's what I have to say about food today.

Join today's Ten on Tuesday over at Roots and Rings!

1. What is a food that you never thought you would try, but then tried and liked?
Recently I've eaten raw oysters and seaweed salad, and loved them both.  I also renewed my love for sweet potatoes.

2. Do you subscribe to any foodie publications? If so, which ones?
I don't at the moment, although I do read quite a few blogs.  I am not much of a magazine subscriber, but hope to change that some day.  I love all the pretty pictures.

3. What ingredient do you find yourself reaching for the most when you cook?
I pretty love to make anything that involved heavy cream or cheese, which is not so good for my arteries, but I can't seem to stop myself.  Alfredo sauce, mac n' cheese, pollo a la crema, cauliflower soup...the list goes on and on.

4. Are there any foods that you hated as a child, but then learned to like as an adult?
Not really.  As I've gotten older, I've come to appreciate foods that I didn't even know about as a child.  But I've never been a picky eater.  There are just a few items that I stay away from (*cough* hot dogs *cough*).

5. What do you like to eat that others may consider weird?
Hmmm...I don't know if others consider my habits weird or not.  Let's see, I like to dip pepperoni pizza in ranch sauce and I love peanut butter or cheese with apples.  Those things don't really seem weird though.

6. What is the weirdest ingredient you've ever cooked with?
I don't think I've cooked with anything very weird.  I did just recently become fascinated with quinoa.  I don't think that counts as weird though.

7. Do you have any major food allergies?
No!  Which I am very thankful about.

8. Is there an ingredient that you would like to cook with, but are intimidated to try?
Oh gosh, there are many ingredients that are beyond my capabilities.  I've never really used meats beyond chicken and beef, plus a couple seafood items.  And I wish I knew more about spices so I could just randomly know exactly what to add to get the flavor I want.

9. Do you bake?
I love baking.  Cookies, cakes, cupcakes, cinnamon rolls, bread, coffee cakes...in a word yes.

10. If you could go on any "foodie" show to compete, which one would it be, and why?
I'd rather pick a foodie show to go on and eat the food.  I don't consider myself skilled enough to actually compete.  That said, Iron Chef America fascinates me, but I'd rather do one where I'm teamed with an Iron Chef, rather than against.  I work better in teams (a.k.a. I'd get my butt kicked otherwise).

Back to Work after Sunday Funday

I ended my spring break with a bang.  Meaning with a lot of delicious wine and food.

I met up with Sarah (who has a great round up of the event on her blog) and her friend Fouzia Sunday to head south.  We wanted to get into the city before the big event, Taste Washington.

We ended up visiting the restaurant Le Pichet right by Pike's Place market.  It was a cute little French cafe where we sipped wine and stuffed our faces with cheese, quiche, fries, meats, olives, and lots of bread.  Not only was it delicious, but we made some great friends with our neighbors.

Our only regret was that we ate so much before our next stop.

After a quick stop by a store across the street (and a couple more treats from the owner), we caught a cab to Qwest event center for Taste Washington.

If you like wine, food, or both this is definitely an event you should attend.  There were 200 wineries, 60+ restaurants, and 3 hours to consume as much as possible.

I am not a wine connoisseur but I feel a little more knowledgable, or at least exposed, now.  I had (off the top of my head) sparkling red, sparkling brut, and cider, reds such as malbec, syrah, pinot noir, whites including chardonnay, pinot grigio, and much, much more.

Then there was the food: an entire oyster bar, multiple smoked salmon options, sliders, BBQ beef, halibut tacos, and cous cous to name a few.  There were also sweets including cupcakes (which we missed out on) and many different handmade chocolates.

Towards the end of the event, Sarah and I met up with Stevie, whose blog I have followed for a while but had never met in real life.  She was/is awesome and I can't wait to hang out with her again.

It was amazing!  I can't even tell you how much fun I had.  It was also the perfect ending to my break.

And my break is definitely over.  This quarter we have more students and fewer transcribers so our schedules are a little crazy.  Our boss actually had to remind us we couldn't work more than 40 hours a week, which has never really been an issue in the past.

The good news is that I'll be able to save up some good moolah for grad school.  I'll be working a lot and won't have a lot of free time.

I also realized that I have something to do every weekend between now and mid-May.  And I'm supposed to be mowing lawns with my dad.  This could get interesting.  I'm already feeling a bit overwhelmed.

I head back to work with a vengeance tomorrow.  I'll be typing in class from 10am to 8pm straight.  So excuse me while I put together a picnic basket.  I want to be prepared.

Awkward and Awesome: Sponsored by Spring Break

I'm keeping this one short and sweet, mostly because I'm running out of Thursday to actually complete it.  Thank goodness I live on the west coast.

Awkward:
- Not being sure of the last time I wore jeans.  It might've been Tuesday when I took the dog to the vet.  Maybe.
- Somehow pulling/over working the muscles in the middle of my back.  Weirdly, the pain started yesterday evening, a day I took off.  I'm hoping it's a short-term issue, obviously, since I lifted again today.
- The number of times UPS has been by our house recently.  I have a problem, which I already admitted.  (I'm so smart, S-M-R-T.)
- How much I sweat.  I'm not one of the sparkly, glistening, shimmery girls (or however that phrase goes).

Awesome:
- An updated hair do.  Mostly just the color.  I'm back to a vibrant auburn-red.  After this though, I think I'm headed back to brown.  The upkeep (a.k.a. cost) is a killer.
- The multiple trips I'm getting out of my last week at the gym.  And I feel in better shape already.  Now I just need to sustain this at home.
- My alma mater, the Cougs, making it to Madison Square Garden for the NIT semifinals.  I know it's the junior varsity tournament, but they are still playing in March and have the easier match up.  And only three of them have been charged for marijuana-related offenses.  Winning!
- The number of sweatshirts and sweatpants I have.  Even if I'm not really getting dressed every day, at least I'm not wearing the exact same thing.
- Getting my pay check and my tax return tomorrow.
- Sunshine.  Vitamin D does a body good.

A Few Weeks Off

I've been work free since Wednesday, March 9, except for a short stint last weekend at graduation.

And it's been lovely, except for the lack of income and all the free time spent browsing and buying online.

My sleep schedule has also been completely thrown out of whack.  Many mornings I'm not awake until after 10am.  This is all well and good now, but I have a feeling it will make for a rough first week back next week.

The past two weeks have been deliciously relaxing (read: lazy), though I have been working hard to get to the gym.  I only got a quarter-long membership so I only have until Sunday to get my fill in.

I don't plan on re-upping for spring quarter.  Between increased work hours and the start of the lawn mowing season, I don't think I'll have the time to get many work outs in.

I do hope, however, to continue running.  I have plans for a few races through the spring and summer, with the end goal being a 7 miler in July with my cousin.  And since I can't really run 7 miles right now, I probably need to prepare.

I have a few plans for my last few days of freedom, the most exciting being Taste Washington this weekend.  It's a wine/food tasting of local businesses and to make it even better, I'm meeting up with some blog friends for it.

Even for all my laziness, this break has been great.  I found out I will get a raise at work and some good friends are moving back to the area from North Carolina.  I was in their wedding 4 years ago and can't wait to see them more often.

Lastly, the weather the past few days has been amazing.  Today it was so nice, my mom and I sat outside and read.  Of course, it's supposed to rain off and on for the next week, but that's pretty much spring in this area for you.

For now, I'm getting back to some college basketball.  My alma mater is in a close game in the NIT.  A win will send them on to Madison Square Garden.  Go Cougs!

An Addiction (that won't stop)

After taking February off from shopping while participating in 30-for-30, I've hit the stores (mostly online) with a vengeance this month.

Shoes, as usual, have been calling my name.

First came these cowboy boots.  Ariat came up on Rue La La.  I showed my cousin, only serving to enable us both.  Now we're going to be boot twins.

Next, I was looking at a list of 10 "unknown" shoe brands and came across Chelsea Crew shoes at Lulu*s.

After some (unnecessary) encouragement from my mom, I selected these lovely pumps.  And to make myself feel a little less guilty, I am getting rid of my current red heels.  It's not about more, it's about more beautiful.

My brother's birthday was yesterday and I also got him shoes.  I had actually gone to the mall with an idea in mind.  Unfortunately his size-14 feet limited my options.

Then I signed up for Amazon Student (thanks, grad school), which included free 2-day shipping, and picked out these babies.  He loved them, I loved them, everybody wins.

Finally, (yes, I was out of control. thank you for noticing) I saw shoes on sale on Amazon from my favorite brand, Seychelles, and snatched them up.

I had stopped myself from buying a different pair from Nordstrom that was also on sale and still regret it even if my wallet doesn't.

Needless to say, it's probably time to take a break from shopping.  The only thing in my favor, besides really great taste in shoes (if I do say so myself) is the fact that I am actually getting rid of shoes as these come in.

That must count for something.

Also, some of the improvement in our economy can probably be attributed to my addiction.

3.19.2011

Somebody got a haircut.

And it wasn't me.

Actually I did, though it was more of a trim.  But I don't have any pictures my before and after.

On the other hand I do have photographic proof of our springer spaniel, Jamaica.  She got an all-over buzz cut and looks very puppy like now.

She is also much less prone to carry in twigs from outside.

Before on the left; After on the right.
Notice her cute little shamrock neckerchief.  Maica was all dressed up for St. Patty's Day.

3.17.2011

Awkward and Awesome, plus a moment of silence

I have literally been in my sweats all day.  The only time I left the house was to get the mail and to play with the dog.  The weather was glorious during my brief sojourns out.

If you want to join in Awkward and Awesome, head on over to Sydney's blog to link up.

Awkward:
- the big dog taking a couple years off of the UPS man's life. And my saying "he's never bit anyone" and the man backpedals as quickly as possible.
- agreeing to work saturday at graduation. I don't regret it, but that doesn't mean I'm happy.  Although considering I haven't work since last Wednesday, I probably should stop with the complaining.
- the lack of gym visits today and yesterday.  I blame basketball and running errands.  Tomorrow it's happening, no matter what.  Especially since we're going to dinner at the delicious Chinese all-you-can-eat place.
- my sleep schedule since daylight savings ended.  My body doesn't even know what's going on.

Awesome:
- finishing the Running o' the Green race last weekend.  I ended up sticking with the 2-mile course due to illness and a lack of preparation.  I ran the whole way and finished faster than I expected, not that my time was actually fast.
- plans for a longer race, and therefore motivation, when my cousin comes for a month-long visit this summer.
- the fact that March Madness and classes ending for the quarter coincided.  I am one happy basketball fan.  Also, I picked the Richmond Spiders for the upset.  Spiders are dangerous, yo.
- Ordering a replacement phone -- I've been having trouble with random shut-downs and problems charging -- which will hopefully carry me to the iPhone 5 release this summer.  Since my grad program is Master's of Communication in Digital Media, I feel like I should probably have a smart phone.  Seems like a good excuse to me.
- Wear not one, but two green shirts today.  Happy St. Patrick's Day!!!

And finally, tomorrow I'm not blogging in support of Japan.  Bloggers around the web are joining the movement started by Utterly Engaged and Ever Ours.
Visit For Japan With Love or stop by their fundraising page to donate.  All donations go directly to ShelterBox for disaster relief.

Enjoy your Thursday night!

Ten on Tuesday, Breaking the News

It's Tuesday again, in case you missed it.  Head on over to Roots and Rings to join in on the fun, or to see how our fearless leader answered.

1. What is your cleaning style like?
I tend to clean in spurts.  Not often, but when I do it's with a vengeance.

2. What is your favorite thing to add to an outfit to take it from casual to classy?
Heels!  Shoes are my favorite.  Also, changing up the makeup can do wonders.

3. Do you like stormy weather?
Absolutely, as long as it's not life-threateningly stormy.  Or as long as I don't have to be outside in it.  But I love sitting inside, warm and cozy, and watching a storm go by.

4. What is your favorite cold treat on a hot day?
I love a good mojito or home made ice cream.  Yum!

5. What is your favorite warm treat on a cold day?
Hot tea ranks up at the top, even if I have mostly given up caffeine in my life.  A recent discovery is hot lemonade with honey....sooooo delicious!

6. Who is your favorite animated character?
Um, not sure.

7. What do you keep your jewelry in?
My friend, Christine, got me an awesome jewelry holder for Christmas that hangs in my closet.  I also have some of my necklaces on hooks on my wall and a few rings and earrings on my dresser.

8. Do any of the rooms in your house have a theme?
Not really, unless you call chaos and a lot of stuff a theme.

9. Do you watch any interior design shows - if so, what is your favorite?
HGTV is probably one of my favorite channels to watch.  That and the food channel.  As far as specific decorating shows, I'm all over the map.

10. When was the last time you did something risk-taking?
I don't know if this counts, but I applied to grad school in February and just got accepted!!!  So that's exciting.  I don't really know anything more than that, like work or a place to live, but I finally feel like I have a plan.

A Heavy Heart

I've been riveted and saddened by the pictures and videos coming out of Japan.

There's not much I can do about the situation, but be informed (and also, I find the earth and how it works intriguing).

My mind is literally swirling with a million thoughts/feelings related to the earthquake.  And I should probably apologize ahead of time for this next section of somewhat lecture-like writing.  I can't help myself.  Also, I went a little crazy with the links.  You have been warned.

First, I want to encourage everyone to be prepared.  This means having an emergency kit (food, water, and other essentials), as well as being aware of evacuation routes and emergency shelters.  The kit is really important and something we don't have ready in our house.

People in some areas of Japan have now been 3 days without access to food and water.  I can't even imagine.

Knowing how to respond in an emergency, beyond just an earthquake, is important.  For instance, did you know standing in a doorway during an earthquake is actually a bad idea?  The swinging door could really do some damage.

For more resources and information, visit this USGS page.

There are ways to help.  I feel so encouraged, in the midst of this tragedy, by the immediate response from individuals who want to do something.  The Red Cross, as well as many other aid organizations, are outlets for donation.

I just had to show a few of my favorite offerings from Etsy, by artists who are putting some of their income towards relief efforts.  Thanks for sticking it out through my lecture.

30% of the proceeds from this gorgeous necklace by Miko will be donated.

You have your choice of five different prints by erinlarue, with 50% of the proceeds donated.

Sunnyside Arts has a number of t-shirts for sale, with $10 from each sale donated.

50% of the profits from these faceted cups by ippuku will go to the Red Cross.

Finally 100% of the sale of this black walnut bowl by Wethered Wood will be donated.  A little pricey, but when considering the devastation, not quite so much.

There are a lot more options.  These were just a few of my favorites.

I have the people of Japan in my thoughts and prayers.

The Emerald City - a video

I saw this the other day and just had to share.  I already loved the Pacific Northwest, but this short film makes me fall in love all over again.

Plus, I really love the song.  Double win!

How can you not want to live in a place this beautiful?  (That's a rhetorical question.)

Awkward and Awesome: From the Sick Bed

I'm home sick today, which was supposed to be my last working day of the month.  While I'm sad to be missing out on a few hours of pay, my fever and sore throat are keeping me home.

I actually didn't get out of bed until about 10:30am.  I actually have some big, exciting news (and if you read my mom's blog you already know what it is), but I'm waiting for a little more info to blast it to the internets.  I will say that I know what I'm doing for the next two years.

With that teasing hint, I'll leave you with my Awesome and Awkwards for the week.  Join in by linking up over at Sydney's blog.

Awkward:
- My interactions with the security/gate guard on campus.  This could probably be an entire post of its own.  Our conversations are like the movie Groundhog's Day--it's the same thing over and over.
- My prep run last weekend for this weekend's supposed race.  I made it 2.5 miles (this weekend is supposed to be 5) and I was sore for days.  I had forgotten how hilly and not flat the course was.  I think I'm downgrading to the 2 mile fun run just to make sure I survive.  That is if I'm recovered enough to make it at all.
- Having a fever for the first time in years.  It is the beginning of March and I spent yesterday alternating between sweating and shivering.  Good times.  My dad is also sick.  Fun times in our house.
- Having my hair appointment somehow disappear.  Seriously.  I have an appointment card saying I was supposed to go in Wednesday afternoon, but when I called after not receiving a reminder call, they had nothing on file.  So weird.

Awesome:
- I went to a small group this weekend from the church I usually attend.  It was just what I needed.
- Plans made late last night to go to Taste Washington with some local bloggy online friends.  Something fun to look forward to for my spring break.  Now I just need to buy the ticket.
- My healthy and delicious food yesterday.  I made myself with a smoothie with Greek yogurt, frozen berries, honey, and spinach, and quinoa with apple cider, peeled and sliced apples, cinnamon and cloves.  So yummy.
- The online shopping I did this week.  After taking February off, I went a little crazy.  My cousin and I got matching Ariat boots, two pairs of glasses, pearl earrings (free with Groupon), and some makeup.  It's going to be like Christmas in the mail for the next couple weeks.
- Finishing my taxes. I have to resubmit them because I used the wrong AGI (I submitted my taxes twice and forgot to get the AGI off my amended return), but I'm getting a nice little chunk of change back.
- Paying off my car loan.  It's happening in the next month, and I can't wait.  That makes me feel so adult.
- March Madness, literally my favorite season of the year.

Ten on Tuesday, Naming Names

I would have gotten to this post sooner, had I not forgotten my wallet in my car this morning.  Because I'm lazy and never remember a lunch, that meant I didn't eat from 9am-5pm.  My tummy was not happy and neither was the rest of me.

Phew, I had just to get that out of the way.  Now on to Ten on Tuesday.  Feel free to play along!

1. How did your parents decide on your name?
I'm pretty sure my mom had the name picked out before I even was a thought.  I was named after Beth from Little Women and given a family middle name (Ellen).

2. Do your initials (First, Middle, Last) spell out anything fun/funny?
EEW - just picture someone holding out the "e" on ew (as in gross).  What can I say? I got lucky!

3. Did you take your middle name from childhood or did you take your maiden name as your middle name? (If unmarried, what do you plan to do?)
I am unmarried and haven't really planned ahead for that.  I am partial to my last name though and I like having a family middle name.  Maybe I'll just have to wait and see what my husband's last name is.

4. Are you or will you name your children thematically (ie. same first letter, all of same origin…)
I have not planned ahead for this either, although I'm not a big fan of huge themes.  I think I'd be more concerned how the names sound with the last name and each other.

5. Did you decide on baby names as a little girl? Did you stick to them or change your mind?
There are a few names I've always like, but I don't have anything set.

6. Does your family have any names that have been passed down through generations?
My middle name is a family name, as I've mentioned.  My brother actually changed his middle name to a family name, Justus, which I love.  I know there are more than that, but I don't have a good enough memory to come up with them all.

7. Do you look at the meaning of the name or just the name itself?
The meaning of the name as well as the name itself is important to me.  My first dictionary (nerd alert) had a collection of names in the back with meanings and I used to read through for the coolest meanings.

8. Do you name pets with human names (Sally, Henry) or with pet names (Fluffy, Mr. Bo Bo)?
One dog is Jackson, which is mostly a human name.  The other dog is Jamaica, which is more of a place name than anything.  Other pet names we've had include Jemima (human), Shadow (pet), Sasha (human-ish), Sassafras or Sassy (pet), Nicodemus (human-ish), and Toby Jackson (?).  Mostly human I guess.  Although I feel like a few are debatable.

9. Are there any names that you have an affinity or dislike for based on a childhood experience/someone you once knew?
Probably, but I can't think of a single one off the top of my head.  Generally speaking, I don't like many "trendy" names and I kind of get annoyed by creative spellings, only because I feel like it is unnecessary and just makes the child's life harder.

10. What are some of your favorite names? Why?
I love Abigail, and have for as long as I remember.  When I was younger I really liked the name Brian.  I also like Brendan.  There's more, but that's all I got right now.

3.03.2011

Awkward and Awesome Thursday

Today started out a little rough, which you'll read about below, but got better, also below.  I definitely prefer that format to my day than the reverse.  I'd rather go to bed relaxed.

Maybe I'm weird though.  It seems likely.

Currently, I'm watching Selling New York on HGTV.  These people have ridiculous money.  A woman is paying over $2,700 a month on rent.  One man just referred to his feng shui master.  You know what I have?  Two dogs lying on my couch.  That seems pretty feng shui-y.

Now that I've gotten some good rambling in, I'll move onto my Awkward and Awesomes for the week.

Awkward:
- Forgetting my parking pass, again, and almost was late to work.  Ooops.  But I made it.
- Speed walking that resulted in me sweating and out of breath
- The rain shower on my walk back to my car.  I was not happy about the wind and freezing rain.
- Our big dog has a cone on his head to protect his eye, a bootie on his foot to protect his itchy shoulder, and a urinary tract infection.  Poor puppy!
- The text from my supervisor that turned out to be harmless, but scared me half to death.  "Stop by the office as soon as possible."  Alls well that ends well.
- Running in a 5 mile race next weekend.  I don't even want to mention how little I've been exercising.  I'm probably going to die.  Or my friend will be carrying me.

Awesome:
- Dinner at one of my favorite local spots and discovering hot honey lemonade.  So delicious!
- My work assignment for tomorrow at a showing of a musical/opera.  Should be fun and interesting.
- Almost being done with the quarter.  5 work days left.
- Having more money in my savings account than I have left to pay on my car.  Sweet!  (How adult does that make me sound?!)
- No major plans for the weekend, except, hopefully, a couple runs.  Even short distance at this point would be good.
- Signing up for a CSA for the summer.  This means weekly grown, fresh produce every week.  A garden isn't realistic for us, so this is a great option.

Now excuse me as I learn more about feng shui.  It's very crucial to my well being and future happiness.

3.02.2011

Finished!

I finished the 30 for 30!  Yay!

To be honest, I really didn't find this to be a huge challenge.  Maybe I picked my items well, maybe the structure was easier for me to deal with, or maybe a lot of my outfits looked the same.  I'm not sure.

Whatever the reason, I actually liked having limited options.  Maybe I get overwhelmed by all my choices.

This challenge also gave me a chance to get to know my camera and photoshop a little better, which is always fun.

I am looking forward to having my blog back, even if that means I'm posting a little less often.

Unfortunately for you all, I'm giving you my last 9 outfits all at once, which means this post is a little on the lengthy side.  I did narrow it down to one picture for (almost) every outfit though.  You are welcome!

And if I'm being honest, and I do try, outfit #30 wasn't actually worn in real life.  I had actually had it in my head since the beginning, but it wasn't functional for my everyday life.  I just couldn't resist throwing it in at the end.

To see a round up of all my outfits from the past month, and to hear which ones were my favorites, head on over to my 30 for 30 page.

Now I'm going to enjoy not having to take pictures of everything I'm wearing and enjoy the company of a couple hoodies.  Or wait, was that not the point?

Ten on Tuesday, Marching In

It's that time again.  I've got nothing clever to say.  I used up any cleverness I had left in my tanks in these answers, which isn't saying much tonight.  You should have seen how many attempts it took me to get "isn't" right.

Or I used it all on the title.  (Did you catch that reference?  I'm also very tricky.)

To join in on Ten on Tuesday, head on over to Roots and Rings.

1. What type of cell phone do you have and how would you rate it?
LG EnV 2, I think.  It's okay when it's not turning itself off randomly.  I should probably call the warranty center.

2. What has been your most serious injury?
I had surgery for trigger finger.  I couldn't straighten my left middle finger every morning when I woke up.  It was kind of annoying.  Also, stitches in the palm are annoying.

3. What is one movie you hate and why?
Um, I know there are a couple, but I think I've mostly blocked them from my memory.  I have a hard time watching Mary Poppins, but only because one summer we watched it multiple times a day while some other kids were visiting.  I don't like to get into the details because I get flashbacks.

4. How many email addresses do you have?
3 that I use regularly, but I also have an official work email that I rarely access.

5. What website do you waste the most time on?
Probably either Twitter or my blogger dashboard checking for new blog posts from people I follow.

6. Why Mexican restaurant makes the best salsa?
Diegos here in town has my favorite.  I get their BCRs (bean, cheese, and rice burritos) just for the salsa. Well, the burritos are pretty delicious, too.

7. What is your dream car?
I have no idea.  One that gets really good gas mileage and doesn't cost me a lot to maintain.  I like my car, but recently we've been have some disagreements over these issues.  Two windshields and two sets of tires in one year is not okay with me.

8. If you could spend up to $100 with no strings or restrictions or guilt, what would you buy?
Right at this moment?  A plane ticket somewhere fun for spring break.  Preferably somewhere warm as well.  $100 probably wouldn't be enough though. :(

9. What is your favorite board game?
How about favorite games in general?  Okay?  I like apples to apples, depending on the group, yahtzee, cribbage, and a couple family card games.

10. How often do you change your hairstyle?
I pretty much tweak it a little every single time I go in.  I never go too crazy with cut, but I love playing with color.  I'm currently a red head, but plan on going back to brown in a couple months as I want to save money and stop the red-dye-all-over-my-clothes stuff.
