The loot.
- Dr. Scholls for Her: Who doesn't like a little extra cushion for their heels?! The extra padding was great and allowed me to wear heels longer than would normally be comfortable.
- Chapstick Lip Shield: Loved the SPF and feel. Unsurprisingly, I've already lost it. (Is anyone able to hang on to chapstick for long periods of time? What is your secret?)
- Sally Hansen Salon Effects in Frock Star: really fun and easy to apply. I hate taking off glitter polish of any kind, but I would be interested to try a different option to see how easy/hard it is to take off.
- Sheer Cover Duo Concealer (light/medium): easy to carry around, the color matched my skin tone, and worked well with my somewhat dry skin. However, it was a little on the runny/liquidy side.
- Bath & Body Works Fine Fragrance Mist in Paris Amour: Nice scent, even if it was different than what I normally go for. Not too heavy. Really good sized bottle (a.k.a. I will never use this up.)
Things I wasn't as excited about:
- SoyJoy strawberry bar: the taste and texture were not my favorite.
- Aveeno body wash: the scent reminded me of play-doh, which is not really something I want to smell like after showering. Otherwise, I thought it was smooth and moisturizing.
Overall, I am most likely to purchase the Dr. Scholl's, Chapstick, or Sally Hansen products again. The other ones either didn't appeal or aren't something I use very often.
Do any of these products appeal to you? Have you used them before?
Disclaimer: I received each product complimentary for testing purposes from Influenster.
I've always wondered if the Dr. Scholls inserts were worth it. Now I'll have to give them a try. Hopefully they will make my work shoes more comfortable.
ReplyDeleteAlso, girl, I hear you about losing the chapstick. I'm no help with that. I lose everything (my sunglasses, keys, chapstick...everything). I think I going to have to try tethering everything to my bag. lol! :)
I used Dr. Scholl's in my wedding shoes and they worked really well. I find it's best to carry multiple chapsticks and lip glosses everywhere... I have them in every purse, in my car, in my desk at work. I'm addicted and freak out when I find myself sans lip moisturizer...
ReplyDeleteThe chapstick would have been a bonus for me, I have a slight (or not so slight) addiction.
ReplyDeletei'm like dying to do one of these boxes!
ReplyDeleteI love Dr. Scholls. They can save a pair of heels.

When you unravel the mysteries of the disappearing chapstick, let me know! I'd like to be reunited with about 10 tubes of Burt's Bees chapstick!
ReplyDeleteAnd the SoyJoy bar-- I'm not a fan of those either. Yeck.
Just put remover on tissue or cotton onto your fingers and then wrap in tin foil. Sounds crazy but it works,
ReplyDeletei wanna try one of these so bad, i think you inspired me!

ReplyDeleteI have a small zip-up pouch that I keep in my purse -- it stores my lipstick, lipgloss, and chapstick. I'll be honest, I can get a little lazy, and sometimes it's embarrassingly full... On a good day, I'll just have one of each in there. BUT I haven't lost a gloss/stick since I started using the baggy! [knock on wood]
ReplyDeleteI've used those Dr Scholl's thingies -- I actually put two pairs in my dance boots!
I agree with you on the Aveeno. I find most of their products to be sort of MEH... Except for their intense hand cream, which I keep by my desk at work at all times.
I have a love/hate relationship with body spray from Bath and Body Works. I like smelling pretty, but I get sick of the scent before it's even a fourth gone!
ReplyDeleteDr all the way friend.
