This Monday, Sun = Run

In my mind, running is a romantic, stress-killing activity. Feet pounding (but not too hard), measured breathing (definitely not too hard), and invigorating.
Running in reality, doesn't really come close to that. At the moment, that's partially because I'm very out of shape. And today's impromptu route did little to help.
But it was so gloriously beautiful out today that I had to strap on my running shoes and enjoy the sun. Even if the run itself was painful. (Most of the pain was due to a very, very steep hill.)
I also took my phone, because I'm using a C25K app to coach myself along. So of course I snapped pictures along the way.

You have no idea how many blurry photos got deleted. I had enough left over for a photo dump though. Enjoy!
As I was prepping these photos, I figured out how to process and save them all from Photoshop to my desktop. It was pretty much the best thing ever.
Well, second best to all the sunshine. Nothing can beat that shiny bright star appearing with blue sky.
This is the hill of death. You know it's step when the sidewalk has ridges in to slow downward progress built right in.
Third best part of this post, all the gorgeous, wonderful signs of spring. That is, beyond the 60 degree weather (hottest day of the year!) and the sunshine.

If you made it to the end, congrats!

And, I'm looking for music suggestions to help my energy level. What are your favorite songs to run/work out to?

  1. I'm glad you had a pretty run! This just makes me feel a little bad for not running yet, but I blame the snow for lack of fitspiration.

  7. Yes running is most definitely a stress reliever! I find it to be a very cathartic activity - especially at the end of a long day.
