A little bit down

Hey friends.

My exciting news I mentioned last week has done a 180 degree turn to being a total bummer.

See, I was in the process of buying a condo. Three weeks out from closing, inspection done, earnest money down, and then I find out because of the complex I won't be able to get financing. From anyone.

So.

I'm going to keep looking for a place. But at the moment, I'm not feeling very excited about the prospect.

I thought I had found my home, at least for the next few years. I had even purchased a fridge, washer/dryer, and mattress set (which I'm super excited to deal with, by the way).

Instead, prices are going, inventory is pretty limited, and I'm not feeling optimistic.

I think I'll be in a better place shortly. But for the next day or two, I'm going to let myself wallow a bit. It only seems fair.

While I'm wallowing, want to tell me something good/awesome/exciting going on your life? I could use a pick-me-up.

  1. Noooooo! Oh, I'm so sorry. I know how excited you were :-(

You can come live with me and Andy. And the cats. And my mother-in-law...

  2. Oh no!! When we bought our house we went through many months of ups and downs like this. I can say that everything worked out for the best in the end, even if we couldn't see it at them time. I know it will for you too. You will end up with something even better!

Let me see...something exciting on my end...ok, I've got nothing. But it's Wednesday, so the week is almost over;) yay!!

  3. Noooooooooooooo! Uber suck. :-( What a huge bummer and pain in the rear. You absolutely have the right to wallow in this for a second. If it makes you feel any better, the same thing happened to me the first time I bought a condo. But it just means that that particular condo wasn't meant to be your home. You'll find another one. They were building like fifty bajillion of them in Ballard when I left. :-) Hang in there chica!

  4. Boooo, I'm so sorry to hear that. But don't despair, something else better will come along and you'll wonder why you were sad about the first place to begin with

  6. What a bummer! I'm so sorry to hear about this!! That has to be so frustrating and disappointing.

But all this means that something EVEN BETTER is headed your way. But I definitely think wallowing is allowed. It's just a sucky situation right now. :(
